In the event of a cancellation, your trusty merchant will be responsible for crediting your BigPay account. Typically, this process may take anywhere from 1 to 14 working days, excluding weekends and public holidays. However, please keep in mind that the exact timing might vary depending on the specific merchant.
Let's say you recently attempted to top up another eWallet, but the transaction didn't quite go as planned, resulting in a deduction from your BigPay account. No need to fret โ in most cases, you can expect your funds to be refunded within a reasonable 1-3 working days.
Wondering what this will look like in your BigPay app when a transaction is refunded? Well, we've got you covered with three possible scenarios:
-
The merchant initiated a settlement for the initial transaction and completed a refund. This process will generate two separate transactions in your BigPay app. The first image is a settled transaction and the second image is a refund settlement by the same merchant, as depicted by
-
In the other scenario, the merchant executed a 'reversal' of the initial transaction from their end. In this case, you'll see just one transaction recorded in your BigPay app, represented by
-
The merchant has refunded the amount to your account. The status will show as "Refunded" because the payment was canceled or the product was unavailable after you placed the order, as shown in the image below.
-
This is the initial payment, and the store has accepted the amount. The status will show as "Settled."
-
After the store canceled the transaction, you'll receive the refund within 1-14 business days, excluding Saturday - Sunday and public holidays. The status of this transaction will show as "Refunded."
